This saw features a 28-inch guide bar and excellent power-to-weight ratio for added reliability and maneuverability. The next generation Stihl M-Tronic engine management system electronically controls ignition timing and fuel metering. The anti-vibration system is designed for good handling and reduced vibration which equals less fatigue for the user. The side-access chain tensioner makes it more convenient for the user to adjust the saw chain with a bar wrench while Stihl Quickstop Chain Brake provides additional safety during operation. The MS 462 C-M auto-adjusts for changes in its operating environment, such as changes in altitude and fuel quality, for optimal performance.
