• The MulchControl system has fixed baffles to regulate the flow of material beneath the deck and an adjustable MulchControl baffle next to the discharge chute. The MulchControl baffle is opened and closed using the MulchControl handle, which is located atop the mower deck.• The majority of the material flows freely out of the discharge deflector or into a material collection system while the MulchControl baffle is open / Material remains inside the deck, is chopped into mulch, and is then spread out over the turf when the MulchControl baffle is closed.• About one-third of the material is still mulched by MulchControl while it is in the side discharge mode. Thus, the side discharge mode is basically a mode that uses partial mulching. When bagging or side discharging, this might be advantageous because it lessens the quantity of material released.
